The Swisslog Country Table was updated 3 October 2016.
1 The Australian licensing authority’s own guidelines for issuing calls to off-shore DXCC counters is to use the 2nd letter of the suffix as the entity indicator (example: VK9xNx for Norfolk Is.). Swisslog has therefore followed their rule. However, they vary from their rule more often than not. So I have reverted to the original principle of determining the DXCC by the 1st letter of the suffix for VK9C, VK9L, VK9N and VK9X. Exceptions will be added to the definitions as they occur. For VK9M and VK9Z, I have kept to the Australian rule because an equal number of operations have and have not followed this principle. Again, exceptions will be added to the definitions as they occur. Overall this will improve Swisslog’s ability to recognise the DXCC in the DX Messages Windows and is timely due to current operations like VK9NZ, VL9LN and VK9LX being active now.
