Hi Fred,
It will be added in version 5.97 as well as T10 and other PSK submodes.
I'm planning to release this new version in August with very nice new functions such as a fully featured band map and support to most important online logbooks such as QRZ, HRDLOG, HAMLOG, HAMQTH and eQSL! I'm working now writing the new documentation which involves a lot of work and needs also to be translated into Spanish, French and German.

P. S. : You don't need to wait for new version to add the FT8 mode. Go to Edit / Add / Edit modes and add the new mode. New version will detect if user has previously added the new mode to avoid adding it twice.
