Yes you are right about the DXCC column messing up when narrowing the eQSL column...I want you all to understand that when I'm implementing new functions I always want to add an option so that users can enabled or disabled it. But many times this is not as easy as you may think. In case of the DX message window as it's programmed it's very complicated to do many things. Keep in mind that the "simple" thing of writing the header text in vertical (as it is in the statistic columns or Lotw and eQSL) it was a nightmare to do this!!! for the user's view may seem very easy but believe me, I have never seen something so complicated to understand in the code to simply write a text vertical. It must be programmed (it's not like Microsfot Word) and it's not intuitive or easy to understand (at least for me and my Delphi code skills). And this is only a simple thing from the user's view... Honestly I don't know if in a future version I will be able to add an option to enable/disable these columns... every little thing I'm adding into Swisslog needs many many hours.

But I'm very amazed that for this small thing (only some milimeters of new space in the DX message window) you prefer to use version 5.9d instead of the new version where it's full of important corrections (database compression, MyQTH error...) as well as updated statistics, etc. I know I can't make everybody happy but I really think it's very difficult to make YOU happy with Swisslog.. Sad I'm very sorry to hear that but obviously you are free to do what it's best for you. I'm trying to do the best for everybody and I feel a bit sad when for a simple thing like this one user prefer to not update to the last version when it's full of new improvements. Now I understand how frustrated felt Walter sometimes when he received some user's feedback when we talked about Swisslog in the past. However thank you for suggestions and your message. Just I wanted to explain that unfortunately I'm not able to implement all things I want.

Ciao Jordi,

thanks for al the explanation. i fully agree with you, but i don't know if are aware that i was also part of the Swisslog development team (at least as beta tester)
I do fully understand what's behind the scenes in programming, and your effort to gives Swisslog new functionalities is much much much appreciated to me.
Of course, as user, i HAVE to say what's is OK and NOT OK, at least as a personal opinion.

The new Lotw and eQSL columns are nice, i just do not like not to be able to configure the colors (like the DXCC and WAZ, etc), and a way to hide them (why I have to look at the eQSL if i don't use it ?)
I tried to "hide" the column, but as confirmed, the titles are messing up and the column doesn't hide completely
I will be MORE THEN HAPPY to help you but i'm not a programmer even if Tech specialist.
In regards of the new version I also found that disabling the Membership panel, do not work (i disabled it, but every time i restart Swisslog it reappears.
Also with the new version, the QSL action "has been forced" to have LOTW and eQSL options. I honestly didn't find a way to remove them, so .. I can be wrong and please blame on me Wink  but this is also another thing that i do not personally agree.

Going back to the old version do NOT mean that you have to be frustrated. I didn't asked you to publish a new "corrected" version tomorrow. You can probably collect all suggestions, decide what to do, and then publish the new one based on your time. This will always be appreciated to me .. even if my suggestions are not taken in consideration. I use Swisslog since its DOS version, i know very good Walter... and i will continue to host Erik's country database on my webpages.

Keep up the good work.
and have a relaxed weekend.
