It is incumbent on the Swisslog user to determine the correct DXCC (G, GD, GI, GJ, GM, GU or GW) at the time of logging and set the DXCC accordingly. There is a 3D3 operation soon 3 October 2016 The Australian licensing authority’s own guidelines for issuing calls to off-shore DXCC counters is to use the 2nd letter of the suffix as the entity indicator (example: VK9xNx for Norfolk Is.). Swisslog has therefore followed their rule. However, they vary from their rule more often than not. So I have reverted to the original principle of determining the DXCC by the 1st letter of the suffix for VK9C, VK9L, VK9N and VK9X. Exceptions will be added to the definitions as they occur. For VK9M and VK9Z, I have kept to the Australian rule because an equal number of operations have and have not followed this principle. Again, exceptions will be added to the definitions as they occur. An error was found
where GB calls were defaulting to a UK country other than England. This
is corrected to a GB call = G. The user can as normal select an
alternative DXCC if that is known (eg GD, GI, GJ, GM, GU, GW) 25 November 2014 Definitions changes since the last update are to cater for the forthcoming CQWWDX CW Contest. Example TO4R = FG Guadeloupe.

November 2014 In 2012 with the expectation that Z6 Kosova was to be added to the DXCC list and with Z6 stations already active, I added Z6 as a DXCC entity. In hindsight this was an error which has to be corrected. Furthermore, I correctly changed the prefix for Niue from ZK2 to E6

operating in their overseas territories without signing the portable

Please note my information is that until 17 July, EF6* is a prefix for

to the designation for EF6 from 18 July so I have made it so it reverts
to EA6 on that date.

The Swisslog Country Database was updated 3 January 2014. Exceptions
were added for Russia UAEU for the myriad of R*22 callsigns for the
Sochi Olympic Games. Also a Swisslog programming error was corrected so

changes were also made to the country table.

operation. This is taking place from Kosovo which, it is claimed, should
become a new DXCC entity once ratified by ARRL. In antcipation of this I

July 2012 This updates incorporates the special GO prefix for United Kingdom stations during the Olympic Games. As usual the licensing authority have issued GO to all the UK countries so normally you cannot determine the DXCC and therefore most default to England. However, where known, specific definitions have been added for Isle of Man, Jersy and Guernsey. So for example GO6IA = GD
because this is known to be GD6IA.

2Q, MQ, GQ are now recognised. They default to England except for
known calls from GD, GJ and GU. For example MQ3AAA will show as G
but MQ0FAL will show as GU because this is known to be MU0FAL. There
were too many to this for GI, GW and GM so you will have to check
QRZ.com or go by the operator.

The ARRL recently announced some changes that affect the mapping of
Russian Federation calls in the 8F, 9F, 8G, 9G, 8X, 9X areas. From
December 1st 2011, these calls count for European Russia (previously
Asiatic Russia).
Swisslog has been updated accordingly.

change was made to the way the table handles FO callsigns. It will now
default to FO French Polynesia instead of giving
a pick list that defaulted to Clipperton. Future operations from FO/A,
FO/M and FO/C will have their definitions added to their respective
DXCC.

This update corrects an issue that only affects version 5.8 in relation
to the addition of ST? Rep of Southern Sudan. The
problem is due to a fault with the way statistics are displayed in 5.8
which was fixed in version 6. Version 6 users also need to apply the update too.

The main change is to add the Republic of Southern Sudan to the
list of current DXCC entities. This makes the total number of entities
341. Please note that Southern Sudan is completely new and not to be
confused with South Sudan which remains a deleted entity.
Because the ITU have not yet issued a new prefix, Swisslog caters for
the current Dxpedition by having ST0R added to the definitions for ‘ST?
Rep Southern Sudan’. When a new prefix is known,
