[attachment=116]Hi! I am visiting JW5E, and I have a problem that baffles me. The station is set up with a Yaesu FT-1000MP MarkV and an Expert 1FK-FA linear amplifier, and the micro KEYER II from Microham. The amplifier is controlled with CAT via Micro keyer, so bandswitches happens automatically. When I set up the tranceiver control in Swisslog, (using settings for FT1000, it reads the frequency fine, but the amplifier is no longer controlled by the radio. What am I missing here? Should I use different com ports?

I would be grateful for any hints!

Hi Tom,

Have you followed the schematic explained on page 29 of the Expert 1FK-FA operating manual? This schematic must be used to share the CAT connection of the Expert when controlling CAT from your PC. The TX TTL line from the Expert must be disconnected. Have you tried with another software if you have the same behaviour?

Another solution is to simply create a new Port  (say COM 5) in uRouter software and assign it to 2nd CAT. It will get the radio frequency same as your COM 4. Let Swisslog interface with it which leaves the original CAT to the SPE amplifier intact and working as before.

Hello, I have SPE controlled from MKII with CI-V port data available from back of MKII. Simple cable and no need for Y- cable type of solutions.

FT-1000 is connected to MKII with normal cable set.

When using CI-V data to SPE it does not matter which rig you use connected to MKII (in my case FT-1000 MK5 and IC-756 pro III for example) and SPE is always happy getting CI-V (Icom) data from MKII and following bands.
