Full Version: exclude SWL from clublog upload

In my logbook I also have short wave listeners who sent a QSL card and comment the QSO details in "QSO notes" field, so I have overview over sent cards.
Every time I upload to clublog, I have to remove these entries from clublog by hand.

Is there a possibility to exclude these SWL-stations from upload?
What I tried until now is setting DXCC to 0, marking as incomplete, adding a "!" to the listeners callsign (because clublog interprets "!" as comment) but that didn't work and "!" at the callsign start generates an access error in swisslog.

2nd question:
when I print the logbook view to a PDF file with free PDFCreator I have to select paper, size, margins, title..... every time.
Generating my own style like described in help is lost after restarting swisslog. For other applications PDFCreator works fine.

(Have installed swisslog as adiministator at c:\swisslog; Windows10)

Thanks for your help...

Daniel
Hello Daniel,

The "problem" is that you have added SWL in your current logbook which is not good. SWL are not QSO, so when you upload to any online logbook service (Lotw, eQSL, Club Log etc) these "ghost QSO" will be uploaded as well.

In the Swisslog help PLEASE read "SWL Handling" in the "Other features" chapter. Here is explained in detail how to handle SWL correctly with Swisslog (even you have a special QSL design for them!

Regarding your second question, which report are you using to print? The page size, margins etc are defined in the Report to be used. If you use any report located in the Logbook folder, all of them are defined as A4. You have to right click and select Print report. If you use Print table, depending the number of fields in the query, the paper size will probably be A3 or whatever. The best way is to use a report where you can define a nice layout for printing. Please take a look at the predefined reports to print logbooks.

Hello Jordi,

thanks for your quick answer. OK, I will remove these SWL's from my logbook.

I print with PDFCreator from the logbook view and can use what I want, the format is always "PostScript custom page Size" as default. When I want to create my own style I see everything correct in print preview and as long I don't exit Swisslog everything is fine. But after restarting Swisslog my own style is lost.

Hi Daniel,

Maybe it's a printer driver problem but, again, the paper size is defined correctly as A4 in all Logbook reports. Review carefully your default printer settings but it's working properly here.

Thanks Jordi for your support.
Then it's a driver or Windows 'feature' because I always lose my print style when closing swisslog.
