I am experimenting with remote control of my JW-land station. I am wondering if anyone has tried the Win4Yaesu suite software for rig control, and controling the radio (FTdx3000) that way, while still using Swisslog for logging?  (I'll never leave Swisslog!)

Other hints for rig control/remoting are most welcome!

Hello Tom,

Yes you can use Win4Yaesu along Swisslog! Please follow up the instructions given in this link:

https://yaesu.va2fsq.com/third-party-har...tegration/

Once you have installed and configured COM0COM as explained in the first section of the above link, follow these instructions for Swisslog:

- Go to Options / Transceiver control
- Select YAESU FT-991/891 / FTDX101D/MP
- Press the “Communication Port” button and select here the virtual COM port created by COM0COM.
- Initially test with these values: Baud Rate 38400 / Data Bits 8 / Stop Bits 1. If this fail, try 4800 / Start bits 8 and Stop bits 2. Ignore other settings!

Give it a try and let me know.

I've also read the documentation of Win4Yaesu regarding the use of Microham products, https://yaesu.va2fsq.com/microham-support/ . Microkeyer II, which is already in use at the station. I have never been able to make com0com work properly, on the other hand I use VSPE and Omnirig successfully at another station. I will start investigating closer on Monday, when I have the house and the time for myself. This weekend is too busy with the family around, and no time to concentrate on radio.

Hi Tom,

Theoretically with VSPE should also work. Simply select the virtual COM port created by VSPE in the 3r party SW/HW tab in the Win4Yaesu Settings.
