Options not remembered on closing programme and restarting - JW6VDA - 07-10-2026
I do not want to have the “Query LLOTA activators” checked. When unchecking and closing the program, next time I open it, it it still is checked. Occasionally this also happens with “Query US state…”
Is this a bug?

Hi Tom,
You need to have checked the "Save desktop at exit" in the Options menu if you want these changes to be applied permanently. Otherwise all changes you have performed are only applied to the current session.

Hi Tom,
Then check you are having write permission to files in the Swisslog folder because it should work. Check you have added the exceptions to the Swisslog folder in your antivirus, allow all incoming/outgoing communications in your firewall and run Swisslog as administrator. But this works this way and works well here in all my computers

I have checked. Firewall OK. Running as Administrator. Closing Swisslog. Then I edited SwisslV5.ini so this line reads as LLOTAQuery=0. Reopening Swisslog and it looks OK, "Query LLOTA activators" unchecked.
But here is the strange part: When closing Swisslog and restarting PC, the "Query LLOTA activators" is still checked, and the switch in SisslogV5.ini again says LLOTAQuery=1.
So there is definitely something fishy going on. Swisslog apparently writes to the SwisslV5.ini file and refuses to deactivate the LLOTA query!

Hello Tom,
I found out the reason! The Query LLOTA activators was linked to the Query POTA activators option! so unless you disable Query POTA the Query LLOTA was not disabled. I have fixed this in the new beta I have just released today.
