Flex 1500 WSJT-X and Swisslog
basically works fine although it often takes time before contact is logged. And I often get a strange report from Swisslog
"konnte Variante von Typ(Null) nicht in Typ(String) konvertieren" Any idea, what that is about ?

one more thing I noticed. after an FT8 QSO is logged the call ist put up in the entry field again. It would disappear, when A new station is called.

RE: Flex 1500 WSJT-X and Swisslog
Hi Martin,

Are you using latest version 5.111? It's very important you add exceptions to the Swisslog folder and the wsjt-x/bin folder to your antivirus and allow all outgoing/incoming communications in your firewall to the Swisslog and WSJT executable. Run also Swisslog and WSJT-X as administrator.

Check CPU usage! With no software tunning it should be below 5%. If it's over 50% you need to repair your operating system. Write CMD in the Windows's search field then run it as administrator. Type this:

SFC /SCANNOW

This will repair your operating system. At the end you will get a report. Reboot then try again.

Also compress the Swisslog database in File / Compress database.

The second "issue" happens sometimes but you don't need to worry too much. The callsign will be replaced when a new callsign is selected. Or you can press the Erase QSO button in WSJT or press Cancel in the QSO Entry window in Swisslog.

I followed your suggestiions but the report is still there and for the strange behavior for keeping a callsign I can not delet it in the entry window it will pop up again even when going into CW and clearing the entry window. Strange.

RE: Flex 1500 WSJT-X and Swisslog
Hi Martin,

If you are going to CW or SSB you need to either close the FT8 program you are using or disable the UDP link, otherwise Swislsog will be linked to the Callsign field of the FT8 program. That's why the callsing can't be deleted. This is explained in the Swisslog help and is not an issue. Please read this chapter:
