V5 error, entry window frequency change

Hi!

I would like to say thank you to the admin who accepted me to the forum. 

I have a few questions about the Swisslog.

1. Every time I run Swisslog, an error shows up: Access violation at address 00B192B1 in module "SwissIV5.exe". Read of address 00000000. Actually the log also opens a WSJT-X.

2. In the entry window of the Swisslog I cannot change the band and mode on the radio, but the radio always changes the band and mode in the entry window. Is this normal? 

3. It happens that QSO made in WSJT-X is not properly saved in the log, especially if I use the button Save in the entry window. In this case, in the log is always missing the reports (RST-S and RST-R). When I use the log window in the WSJT-X, there are no problems. 

I use IC-7300Mk2 with Omnirig settings.

Any suggestion?

Hi Robi,

Here the answers:

1. Make sure you add an exception in you antivirus to the C:\Swisslog folder and also add an exception in your firewall to the Swisslog executable file: SwisslV5.exe. Do the same for all your radio software (such as WSJT-X). This way you will ensure they don't block or interfere the normal execution of radio software which causes violation errors and many other weird issues. If the violation errors persist, run Swisslog as administrator: mouse right click on the Swisslog icon > Properties > Compatibility then check the Run as administrator option. Apply then OK.

2. Yes. The QSO Entry displays the radio frequency and mode when running in realtime mode (date field background in displayed in yellow colour) but you can't change it. In the transceiver control options enable the option "Show TX status on toolbar". You will see the CAT bar in the upper side of the main form. There you can change frequency and mode. 3. When Swisslog is linked with external programs, all logging operations MUST BE performed from the external program. So you have to press the "Log QSO" button in WSJT-X to log the QSO in Swisslog.
