Setting time on trx
Hello Jordi,

Is it possible to implement a function to automaticaly set the time on the tranceiver? I know that for (newer) Icom tranceivers there are commands to send the computer time and date to the radio (the IC-7300 has the habbit to reset the time to 00:00 if the power supply is off for some time).

As far as I can find these are the commands for the IC-7300

FE FE 94 E0 1A 05 00 94 date FD (date format yyyymmdd)
FE FE 94 E0 1A 05 00 95 time FD (time format hhmm)
FE FE 94 E0 1A 05 00 96 UTC FD (UTC offset time) (format 0000-1400 followed by shiftdirection: 00 for plus, 01 for minus)

RE: Setting time on trx
Hello Storm,

I have been reading all manuals from most recent ICOM transceivers and unfortunately these commands have different meanings in other transceivers. That is, it's a specific set of commands only working for the IC-7300. It's a pity that ICOM doesn't keep a standard set of commands for all their transceivers. Many commands perform different actions in other transceivers.

This is a very specific feature for the IC-7300. Swisslog offers basic CAT control for logging purposes not to control extensively the radio. Maybe this function is available in specific fully featured software to control radio. I suggest you to take a look in specific software. However I will add it to the wish list.

Hello Storm,

I have release a beta implementing some interesting functions I guess you will like! I have added 12 buttons in the new Trasnceiver control window and user will be able to set any CAT command supported by your radio. Please read this thread:
