LOTW upload not ADIF 3.1.0 compliant
I checked my upload file to LOtW ( LOTW synchronisation tool), and as late as 14 days ago, the export still is in ADIF 3.0.9 format, so FT4 is given without SUBMODE MFSK:

LOTWSTATION=OH6VDA - KAUHAJOKI

Generated for OH6VDA

<ADIF_VER>:5>3.0.9
<PROGRAMID:20>Swisslog for Windows
<PROGRAMVERSION:5>5.99b
<CREATED_TIMESTAMP:15>20190801 213807

<EOH>

<CALL:6>SP3BGD  <FREQ:6>14.080  <BAND:3>20m  <MODE:3>FT4  <APP_SWISSLOG_QSONR:4>2034
<QSO_DATE:8>20190801  <TIME_ON:6>080100  <EOR>
<CALL:6>RW4LMR  <FREQ:6>14.080  <BAND:3>20m  <MODE:3>FT4  <APP_SWISSLOG_QSONR:4>2035
<QSO_DATE:8>20190801  <TIME_ON:6>080145  <EOR>

I use Swisslog 3,99b. The computer whwer this was generated had a fatal disk failiure, and it is now completely new installation.

Enclosed the uploaded ADIF file.

RE: LOTW upload not ADIF 3.1.0 compliant
Hello,

LoTW doesn't use the Submode field, but this is not a problem using the LotW synch function of Swisslog. Even if you are importing this ADIF into Swisslog using the Import QSO function you won't have any problems. Because it works this way and this ADIF is only used for the LoTW synch, I didn't add the submode field.

Thanks for your answer and your patience, Jordi.

Sorry about the hassle, but I actually thought that also LOTW had adopted ADIF 3.1.0 specs. I found in my LOtW account a couple of FT4 qsos with mode DATA. Re-uploading them using the query format for ADIF 3.1.0 solved it, they are now recognised in LOtW as FT4 qsos.

RE: LOTW upload not ADIF 3.1.0 compliant
Hi Tom,

If you uploaded FT4 QSO when FT4 was not recognised by LoTW, they were assigned to DATA. In those cases the solution is to upload again these QSO to be properly recognised as FT4. This is a common problem when users upload QSO into LoTW in a new mode not yet recognised by LoTW, because they are set as DATA and needs uploading again when this mode is accepted.

Regarding the ADIF file downloaded from LoTW, it's not ADIf 3.1.0 compliant. It doesn't include the SUBMODE field. It has the APP_LoTW_MODEGROUP to determine the LoTW mode group. LoTW goes its own way...
