How to force Swisslog use PC soundcard?
I had a shock last night, and thougt my IC7300 had broken. The symptom was that on a tx period in FT8, all of a sudden the tx transmitted something else than the Gaussian carrier from WSJT-X, and the tx power went down to nil.

Looking it into it this morning, I found that the sound DX announcements from Swisslog was spoken on the built in sound card in IC7300 (USB codec)instead of the standard sound card in the PC. I just installed the sound announcement yesterday, so that is the reason this has never happened before. I cannot find a setting in Swisslog to force the use of the PC soundcard instead of the USB codec. Is there such a setting?

Yes, do it via Windows>Settings>Sound>'App volume device preferences' which gives you the sound device options for every audio enabled software currently running (so have Swisslog launched when you do this). It is a set and forget once only setting. Swisslog DX Spot audio comes from my Windows computer speakers while the IC-7100 here is TXing pure digital through the USB cable.

Thanks a lot, Erik. I've just dismantled the radios and the computer here at the summer cottage, it was the last vistit of 2019, but I'll check this out as soon as I come home.
