Standard RST how to change?
Hello

I try to change the standard RST settings from 599 to 59 using the QSO option window, but the setting is reset every time back to 599.
Where can I still set the standard RST?

Thank you.

RE: Standard RST how to change?
After changing and saving new standard RST in the options for current window, close the QSO window then re-open by clicking on view>add QSO.  Standard should now show new RST.

Hello G3WPF

Thanks for your answer.
I try it but it won´t work.

Follow steps I do (perhaps I do something wrong)

- go to options for QSO window
- standard RST set to 59
- confirm with "ok"
- close QSO window
- start QSO window

Thanks.

Best regards

Chris

Hello Chris, it does not work for me either. So we do not understand something or there is a bug. I suspect the latter. Jordi will check it.

RE: Standard RST how to change?
Hello,

This is not a bug. The default RST is R-S-T (3 digits). It doesn't matter if you don't work CW or RTTY. Setting 599 as default RST will set 59 on SSB. If you set 579 as default RST it will set 57 on SSB and 579 on CW or RTTY.

Erik.

Strange - it works for me:

Place cursor in callsign part of Entry of QSOs windoww.
Click on Options at top
Click on Options for active window
In Options for Add QSOs Function, go to bottom and change Standard RST for send and receive (for example to 579) and click OK
Return to Entry of QSOs window and click on the x to close.
Go to View>Add QSOs to open window.
New default RST shows.

I've just done it twice to change default to 579 and then, after, to change back to 599.

Using W10 here.

Hope it works for you.

RE: Standard RST how to change?
It's important yo know that default RST is always 3 digits. If you set 59 it will be replaced by 599. The third digit, if missing, will always be added. There is no need to change 599 to 59 because Swisslog will set the first 2 digits for SSB and 3 for CW/RTTY and other modes using 3 digits.

RE: Standard RST how to change?
Hi Jordi

Thank you for your explanation on the subject.
I only came across it because I wanted to make my own mode via "mode add/change" where only 59 is given.
