I manage the logs for two clubs, both with a number of different operators with different personal callsigns.

To keep their log entries apart, and just to know who worked what, I have created a number of different "My qth"s, in the "My Qth" tab of the "Add qso" window, each containg the name and callsign of the operator.

To keep track of them in the daily logging, I have added an extra column to the "Online Logbooks" query, with the My_Operator_call.
Also, since I do not use all online logbooks, I have hidden those who are not in use.

Attached is the modified logbook query .spq-file, and the .RPL-file associated wth it.

Private statistics for DXCC-FT4 and DXCC-FT8

Hello,

Some users are interested to have a specific DXCC statistic for FT4/FT8 the same way exists for SSB, CW and RTTY, because they are very useful for Dx Windows and Band Maps. However, because these statistics are based in the Mode ID number and many users can have a different ID for these modes, I can't create a standard statistic. The best way is to create a private statistic.

In order to make things easier, I have created a couple of statistic definition files to import. However, before importing these files, you have to check your ID number for modes FT8 and FT4. If FT8 ID is 157 and FT4 ID is 177 then you are lucky enough and you can skip reading the explanation of step 1 and go directly to step 2 of this small tutorial:

1. Edit the DXCC FT8.INS / DXCC FT4.INS files:

If you have different ID from the mentioned above, you have to edit every file with a text editor. First of all you have to download this file:

https://www.swisslogforwindows.com/files...T4-FT8.rar

Unzip this file and copy the included files in the INFO folder, located where you have Swisslog installed (by default C:\Swisslog). You will have there the following: DXCC FT4.INS an DXCC FT8.INS

Edit the file DXCC FT4.INS with a text editor then change your mode ID in the following line (highlighted in yellow):

After setting the right MODEID save this file. Perform the same operation in the DXCC FT8.INS file. Now you can go to the step 2.

2. Import these statistics into Swisslog

In Swisslog go to File / Statistic Import / Export > Export statistic:

Select the DXCC FT4.INS file from the Import File section, check the Private option in Statistic Type (if available) then press the IMPORT button. A message will pop up informing you the statistic has been succesfully imported. Repeat this step for the DXCC FT8.INS file.

That's all! Now you will have your private statistics to display your DXCC status for FT8/FT4 in the DX windows and band maps. This statistics counts QSL card, eQSL and LoTW confirmation. If you don't want to include LoTW or eQSL confirmation, edit the statistic definition and uncheck the appropiated checkboxes then Save.

Following on from the discussion "Setting up a new statistic for DXCC-FT4" by Marc ON6CC, in which we learnt that if you would like this stat or one like it you can either create it or wait for it in the next version, here is a full band plan that can be imported to Swisslog. A band plan is not absolutely necessary because, as Jordi points out, Swisslog can detect some modes for dupe checking if the mode is mentioned in DX Spot comments. However, having the correct frequencies defined will ensure correct dupe checking.

The band plan here is this one (click to enlarge):

 band plan.png (Size: 236,7 KB / Downloads: 23)

After it has been imported, you can edit and delete entries from it to suit yourself. Use the Edit>Edit the bandplan menu in Swisslog.

To make the import, it is necessary so far as I know to use MS Access. Jordi may interject with an alternative method for those without Access.

To use MS Access, download and save the attachment to a convenient folder. Unzip it to reveal BANDPlan.txt

 BANDPlan.zip (Size: 734 bytes / Downloads: 15)
Open your log database in MS Access.
Ensure that the BANDPlan Table is not open.
In Access, go to the top menu entry: External Data.
Click on New Data Source and select: From File>Text File. Click OK.
For File name, navigate to where you saved BANDPlan.txt and then click OK.
Use the Import Text Wizard this way: Next > Next > Next > select: No primary key and Next > Finish > Yes to overwrite existing table > Close

When you next open Swisslog, the band plan will be in operation.

Hello
Somewhere I read that you can print with the Brothter QL 820nwb qsl glue. Now my question who has already tried and who can I possibly get a working qsl label?
Since I have such a printer for my other addresses (not HAM) it would be great to have such a thing. Unfortunately I am not proficient in creating reports.
thanks to the helpers

My statistic database for US counties had become corrupt. I think it was because info was being imported from the internet like Alaska counties (not judicial districts). So I cleaned up my statistics and also the INF_USCOUNTY.txt file and the associated info table. I corrected some spelling errors and also some with wrong call area. I attach my updated INF_USCOUNTY.txt file.

If you want to try it, make sure you save a back up of your current .txt file first then replace it with new file. Also, correct your INF table e.g. MA-WORCHESTER corrected to MA-WORCESTER etc. Do this by tools>information tables>export/import/edit>select INF_USCOUNTY. Note: there are a lot of changes because I also amended the names of counties like "St.Charles" to "St. Charles" (separate words).

Then go to view>statistic>statistics>standard>US Counties Award and then select a report which has detail and description checked (e.g. 9 band cw/ssb). This will show the changed counties and also the old (incorrect) name. Your QSO's should be against the old name and the new name will show no contacts - easy way to tell between new and old is that there is no call area shown against the old county name e.g. old = MA-WORCHESTER, but the new = MA-WORCESTER - W1. (This is also a good way to identify any other errors in county names that you may have.)

Then go the QSOs (individual or mass update via logbook view) and change the county to the new one. When each contact of an old county is changed if you refresh the statistic the old county should disappear. Another good check is worked + needed should = 3077 total counties.

I hope it works for you! If not, revert to backed up .txt file and re-create INF_USCOUNTY file.

I tried to edit and print my QSL cards using one of the QSL cards on Swisslog QSLcards folder. The only one using 9x14 cm. size sheet that I found in the QSLcards folder was: QSL 9x14 example2. RPT file. I tried to print it and it is impossible for me to get a correct QSL card.
I dessigned my own QSL card file from scratch and it works fine using a 9x14 cm. sheet of paper (cardboard) on a standard printer.
It would be good that someone tested it too. You just have to download the file from the link below and copy it in the QSL cards folder. ( Swisslog/Reports/QSLcards)
If this is found intersting for other people, it could be added to the QSL cards folder.

I have seen now that I am able to attache the file here. I am going to attache it now.
